Cellular Memory Release (Breathwork) Feeling stressed?
Breathwork is a fast effective process to clear anxieties, phobias, depression or just to help you get a fresh perspective on your life.Breathwork is a technique of consciously using breath in an accelerated and conscious way to lift you out of the ordinary day-to-day routine. In a safe and supportive environment, it allows the body and mind to release long held tensions. Breathwork can assist in:
A French research team (Sudres et.al 1995) conducted in depth monitoring of 12 people with medium severity depression who undertook a series of ten breathwork sessions. Eight weeks after the last session was conducted, ten of the twelve people in the study reported a "considerable amelioration" of depressive symptoms. A study by Georgia State (Holmes et.al 1996) university demonstrated that Breathwork combined with experientially oriented psychotherapy was effective in reducing death anxiety and increased self-esteem, when compared to the control group who had experientially oriented psychotherapy without Breathwork.
Breathwork FAQ's. How does accelerated breathing actually help improve self-esteem? When we are breathing faster through the nose or the mouth, something very interesting occurs - your body starts to FEEL things, in fact a lot of things that you haven't felt in a long time. On a bio-physical level, increased air intake stimulates drainage of lymphatic and blood vessels, activates muscular activity which results in a diffuse state of consciousness. This expanded consciousness state results in the gentle release of suppressed memories and emotions allowing you to return to a state of relaxation and euphoria. How many sessions do I need? At least 3 sessions are advised so you can accurately judge if breathwork is for you. For maximum benefit, ten sessions are recommended spread over a 10 week period.
